When I first started creating faceless content, I wasn’t sitting there thinking I had discovered some magical way to make money online.
I was learning.
Posting.
Testing things.
Watching some posts do surprisingly well…and watching others get almost no attention at all. 😂
But over time, something changed.
My faceless quote pages grew, I learned more about what people actually wanted to share, and I eventually got monetized and started making money from my content on Instagram and Facebook.
And I did it without becoming the face of my pages.
As a stay-at-home mom, that was a BIG deal for me.
I could create something around normal life without feeling like I needed to film myself constantly or turn my family into content.
So if you’re wondering how to make money with faceless Instagram, I want to give you the realistic beginner version.
No “post three Reels and become rich by Friday” promises here.
Instead, let’s talk about some of the ways a faceless page can potentially become a business, and what you should actually focus on first.

If you have Pinterest, would you mind saving this image for me? 😊
Can You Really Make Money With a Faceless Instagram Account?
Yes.
But there’s an important difference between:
“It’s possible to make money.”
and
“Every faceless Instagram page will make money.”
The first one is true.
The second one absolutely isn’t.
Your earning potential depends on things like your niche, audience, content, engagement, offers, consistency, platform eligibility, and the monetization methods you choose.
You also don’t necessarily need a gigantic following.
Some income strategies rely more on having the right audience than having the biggest audience.
That’s why I think beginners should stop thinking only about followers and start thinking about:
Who am I building this page for?
and:
What could I eventually offer this audience?
That’s where the business part begins.
Before You Monetize, Build Something Worth Following
I know.
You came here because you want to know how to make money.
But before you worry about where the money comes from, build a page people actually care about.
Your content needs to do something.
Maybe it makes people laugh.
Maybe it makes another exhausted mom think:
“OMG, finally someone said it.”
Maybe you teach something useful.
Maybe you inspire people.
Maybe you solve a problem.
With my quote pages, I’ve learned how powerful relatable and shareable content can be.
When people see something and immediately send it to a friend, spouse, sister, or another mom, your content can start traveling beyond your existing audience.
Build attention and trust first.
Then monetization makes much more sense.
1. Sell Your Own Digital Products
One of my favorite ways to make money with faceless Instagram is through digital products.
Why?
Because you don’t have to ship anything.
You create the product once, and customers can access it digitally.
Depending on your niche, you might sell:
- Ebooks
- Templates
- Printables
- Planners
- Workbooks
- Checklists
- Guides
- Social media templates
- Digital journals
The important part is creating something that makes sense for your audience.
A productivity page might sell planners.
A Canva page might sell templates.
A motherhood page could create printable family organization resources.
A faceless-business page could sell educational resources.
That’s actually part of my own business model with The Ultimate Faceless Creator Success Playbook.
I created a downloadable resource for people who want to go beyond the basic tips I share on the blog and understand more of the process behind building, growing, and monetizing a faceless social media presence.
The product fits the audience.
That’s the part I want you to notice.
2. Try Affiliate Marketing
Affiliate marketing is another possible income stream for faceless creators.
Basically, you recommend a relevant product or service using a tracked affiliate link. When someone completes an eligible purchase or action through your link, you may earn a commission.
You don’t have to show your face to recommend something.
You could create:
Product demonstrations
Tutorials
Resource lists
Comparison posts
Hands-only videos
Screen recordings
But please don’t turn your page into one giant commercial.
Recommend things that genuinely make sense for your audience and clearly disclose affiliate relationships.
Trust is worth protecting.
3. Send Instagram Traffic to Your Website
This is one I really like because you’re building beyond social media.
Instead of keeping your entire audience inside Instagram, your content can encourage people to visit your website.
Once they’re there, they can:
Read blog posts.
Join your email list.
Discover your digital products.
Explore resources.
Learn more about what you offer.
That’s essentially what I’m doing here with MommaPrints.
Instagram can help people discover you, while your website gives you more room to actually help them and build a deeper connection.
Social platforms change.
Algorithms change.
Programs change.
Building something you control outside the platform can give your business another foundation.
Want to Learn the Bigger Strategy?
This article is meant to show you what some of your options are.
I’m intentionally not turning it into a massive course because monetization isn’t just about picking an income stream.
There’s content, growth, branding, audience-building, digital products, strategy, and figuring out how all those pieces work together.
That’s what I go deeper into inside The Ultimate Faceless Creator Success Playbook.
I created it for beginners who want a clearer roadmap for building their faceless presence instead of trying to piece everything together from random tips online.
Now let’s look at a few more ways faceless pages can potentially earn.
4. Explore Platform Monetization
Depending on your account, location, eligibility, and the programs currently available, social media platforms may offer ways for eligible creators to earn from content.
I’ve personally gotten monetized with faceless content on Instagram and Facebook, so yes, it can happen without your face being the focus.
But I would never build an entire business assuming platform payments will always be there.
Programs and eligibility requirements can change.
Treat platform monetization as one possible income stream, not your entire business plan.
And always check the platform’s current requirements rather than relying on a random post claiming everybody gets paid after reaching a specific number.
5. Work With Brands
You don’t necessarily need to be a traditional face-to-camera influencer to work with brands.
A faceless page can still have something valuable:
An audience.
Depending on your niche and reach, relevant brands may be interested in sponsored posts, product-focused content, or other collaborations.
Again, relevance matters.
If your audience follows you for home organization and you suddenly promote something completely unrelated because somebody offered you money, it can feel strange.
Protect the trust you’ve built.
6. Offer a Service
Not every faceless creator needs to make money directly from Instagram.
Sometimes the account is simply how people discover what you do.
For example, depending on your skills, you could offer:
- Graphic design
- Pinterest management
- Social media management
- Content creation
- Virtual assistance
- Copywriting
- Digital product design
Your page becomes part portfolio, part educational content, and part way for potential clients to find you.
This can be especially interesting for beginners who already have a skill they can offer.
7. Build an Email List
Your email list might not feel like an income stream by itself, but it’s one of the things I’d encourage you to think about early.
Someone can follow you on Instagram today and never see another one of your posts.
An email subscriber has intentionally asked to hear from you.
You can use email to share useful content, freebies, product launches, resources, and relevant offers.
Again, this is about building something beyond follower numbers.
How Many Followers Do You Need to Make Money?
There isn’t one universal number.
It depends on how you’re monetizing.
Selling a digital product is different from qualifying for a platform monetization program.
Affiliate marketing is different from a sponsorship.
A service business is different again.
That’s why I wouldn’t wait for some magical follower milestone before thinking about your business.
If you’re trying to make money with faceless Instagram, focus on building an audience that actually cares about the topic you’re creating around.
I’d rather have the right people paying attention than a giant number of followers who aren’t interested in anything I offer.
What I Would Focus on as a Beginner
If I were starting from zero again, I wouldn’t try seven monetization methods at once.
I’d keep it simple.
First: Build Your Content
Figure out what your audience responds to.
Second: Build Your Audience
Create consistently enough to learn what people save, share, comment on, and come back for.
Third: Choose One Monetization Path
Maybe that’s a digital product.
Maybe it’s affiliate marketing.
Maybe you have a service.
Choose something that makes sense for the people already following you.
Then learn.
Test.
Improve.
You can always add additional income streams later.
Trying to do everything immediately is a very fast way to make your “simple little side hustle” feel like you’re running six companies during nap time. 😂
Final Thoughts
If you’re trying to make money with faceless Instagram, don’t think of Instagram as an ATM.
Think of it as a place to build an audience.
Create something people want to follow.
Earn their attention.
Build trust.
Then find a monetization method that genuinely fits what they need.
I’ve been able to grow and monetize faceless quote-page content on Instagram and Facebook, and I’m grateful that something I could create behind the scenes eventually became an income stream.
But it still required learning, consistency, testing, and plenty of posts that went absolutely nowhere.
You don’t need to become an influencer.
You don’t need to show your face every day.
But you DO need to build something valuable.
That’s the part worth focusing on.
