Starting an Instagram page with zero followers is humbling.
You post something you’re genuinely proud of.
You check Instagram.
Three views.
You check again five minutes later as if Instagram suddenly discovered you.
Still three. 😂
I’ve been there.
I’m a stay-at-home mom, and I’ve built faceless quote pages on Instagram and Facebook that eventually became monetized and started making money. But they didn’t begin with thousands of people waiting for my next post.
They started at zero too.
So if you’re trying to grow a faceless Instagram page and wondering how anyone is supposed to find you when nobody follows you yet, this post is for you.
I’m not going to promise you’ll get 10,000 followers in 30 days. Social media doesn’t work on a guaranteed timeline.
Instead, I’m sharing a simple beginner roadmap based on what I’ve learned from actually creating faceless content.

If you have Pinterest, would you mind saving this image for me? 😊
Can You Grow a Faceless Instagram Page From Zero?
Absolutely.
Your face isn’t what determines whether someone follows your account.
Your content does.
People follow pages because the content makes them laugh, teaches them something, inspires them, solves a problem, or makes them think:
“OMG, that’s literally me.”
That’s especially true with the faceless quote pages I’ve worked on.
People aren’t sharing a post because they know who created it.
They’re sharing because the message connected with them.
That’s the mindset I want you to have when you’re starting from zero.
Instead of asking:
“How do I get followers?”
Start asking:
“What would make the right person want to follow this page?”
That’s a much better place to begin.
1. Get Clear About Who Your Page Is For
Before worrying about growth hacks, make sure your account has a clear purpose.
Who are you creating content for?
Moms?
Women building businesses?
People who love motivational quotes?
Home organization lovers?
Beginners learning Canva?
Someone should be able to land on your profile and understand fairly quickly what kind of content they’ll receive.
If your account posts a motherhood quote today, a recipe tomorrow, and cryptocurrency tips on Wednesday…people may have no idea why they should follow. 😂
You don’t need to make your niche ridiculously narrow.
You just need enough consistency that your audience knows what they’re signing up for.
2. Make Your Profile Worth Following
When someone discovers one of your posts, they may visit your profile before deciding whether to follow.
Make that decision easy.
Use a recognizable profile image and a simple username that’s easy to remember.
Then make your bio clear.
Instead of:
“Welcome to my page ✨”
tell people what they’ll get.
For example:

Build your brand without showing your face ↓
Your profile doesn’t need to look perfect.
It needs to make sense.
3. Create Content People Want to Share
If I could give you only one tip to grow a faceless Instagram page, this would be high on the list.
Create shareable content.
This has mattered so much with my quote pages.
Think about your own Instagram habits.
When do you send someone a post?
Usually because it made you think:
“This is SO you.”
“We were literally just talking about this.”
“I needed to hear this today.”
That emotional reaction matters.
For an educational page, shareability might come from an incredibly useful tip.
For motherhood, it could be a painfully accurate parenting joke.
For motivation, it might be a sentence someone needed that morning.
Before posting, ask:
Would my ideal follower save or send this to somebody?
If the answer is yes, you’re moving in the right direction.
4. Use Faceless Reels to Reach New People
Reels can give you another way to put your content in front of people who don’t already follow you.
And no, you don’t have to point at floating text or dance in your kitchen.
Faceless Reels can be incredibly simple.
Try:
- Text over B-roll
- Quote videos
- Screen recordings
- Hands-only clips
- Canva animations
- Mini tutorials
- Before-and-afters
- Lists
- POV content
You could film yourself making coffee and turn that same clip into several Reels by changing the text.
As a busy mom, I am a big fan of making content work harder instead of creating everything from scratch every day.
5. Give People a Reason to Stop Scrolling
You could have an amazing message, but if nobody stops long enough to read it, they may never receive it.
Your opening matters.
For Reels, that could be text like:
“If I had to grow an Instagram page from zero again…”
“Nobody tells beginners this about faceless accounts…”
“3 mistakes keeping your Instagram page stuck…”
For carousels, your first slide needs to create enough curiosity for someone to swipe.
You don’t need ridiculous clickbait.
Just make the value obvious.
Want a Deeper Faceless Growth Strategy?
This blog post is meant to give you the roadmap—not dump an entire course into one article.
Because once you start trying to grow a faceless Instagram page, you’ll probably have more questions about content, branding, growth, monetization, and how everything works together.
That’s why I created The Ultimate Faceless Creator Success Playbook.
It’s my downloadable beginner-friendly guide where I go deeper into building a faceless presence, creating content, growing an audience, and developing ways to turn your page into something more than a hobby.
If you’re ready for more than the basics, you can take a look here:
Now, let’s keep growing that page.
6. Post Consistently Enough to Learn
There’s no magical posting schedule I can give you that guarantees growth.
What I can tell you is that posting consistently gives you something incredibly valuable:
Information.
You start seeing what your audience responds to.
Maybe relatable Reels get shared.
Maybe carousels get saved.
Maybe your funny posts outperform your inspirational ones.
You can’t learn those things if you’ve only posted three times.
Don’t obsess over creating a perfect schedule.
Choose something you can realistically maintain.
For me, anything related to business has to fit around real mom life.
I would rather have a sustainable routine than create an exhausting content schedule I’ll abandon after two weeks.
7. Pay Attention to Shares, Saves and Engagement
Followers aren’t the only number worth watching.
Look at how people interact with your content.
Are they sharing it?
Saving it?
Commenting?
Visiting your profile?
Following after seeing a particular post?
These clues can help you understand what people actually want from you.
One thing I’ve learned from running faceless pages is that your audience will often tell you what to create next—you just have to pay attention.
When something performs well, don’t immediately move on to a completely unrelated idea.
Ask:
How can I create another version of this?
Not copy it word for word.
Build on the concept.
8. Engage Like There’s a Real Person Behind the Page
Faceless doesn’t mean invisible.
Respond to comments.
Answer messages when appropriate.
Interact with people in your niche.
Use captions that invite genuine conversation.
Your audience might not see your face, but they should still feel like there’s a human being behind the account.
This is one reason I don’t want faceless content to sound robotic.
People connect with personality.
You can build that connection through words just as much as through your face.
9. Stop Comparing Your Beginning to Someone Else’s Middle
This one can mess with your head.
You see another account with 300,000 followers and think:
“Why isn’t mine growing?”
Meanwhile, they’ve been posting for four years and you’ve been posting for eleven days.
Give yourself a chance.
I didn’t start my faceless pages already knowing which content would work.
I learned by doing.
Some posts surprised me.
Some posts I thought were amazing went nowhere. 😂
That’s part of social media.
Instead of obsessing over another creator’s follower count, compare your content today with the content you were creating a month ago.
Are your hooks better?
Are your designs clearer?
Do you understand your audience more?
That’s progress too.
10. Think Beyond Followers
If your long-term goal is making money, don’t build your entire strategy around reaching a certain follower number.
When I started monetizing my faceless content, it made me think differently about what I was building.
You’re not just collecting followers.
You’re building an audience.
Eventually, that audience could connect with your website, email list, digital products, affiliate recommendations, services, or other monetization opportunities that fit your niche.
Instagram can be part of your business without being your entire business.
And that’s something I go deeper into inside The Ultimate Faceless Creator Success Playbook, moving from simply posting content to thinking more intentionally about what you’re building.
How Long Does It Take to Grow a Faceless Instagram Page?
There isn’t one honest answer.
Someone might see momentum quickly.
Someone else may need months of testing before things start clicking.
And growth isn’t always a straight line.
You might have a slow month followed by one post reaching far beyond your usual audience.
Instead of giving yourself an arbitrary deadline, focus on what you can control:
Your content.
Your consistency.
Your willingness to learn.
Your understanding of your audience.
If you’re trying to grow a faceless Instagram page, those things are much more useful than constantly refreshing your follower count.
Final Thoughts
Growing from zero can feel slow because nobody sees all the work happening behind that little follower number.
But every page starts somewhere.
If I were starting again, I would keep things simple:
Choose a clear niche.
Know who you’re creating for.
Make content worth sharing.
Use Reels to experiment with reach.
Pay attention to what works.
Then keep improving.
I’ve been able to grow and monetize faceless quote pages on Instagram and Facebook, but it came from actually creating, testing, and learning—not from discovering some secret overnight growth hack.
If you want to grow a faceless Instagram page, give yourself enough time to become good at creating content your audience genuinely wants.
That’s where I’d start.
Ready to Take Your Faceless Page Further?
If you’re ready to go beyond the beginner roadmap, The Ultimate Faceless Creator Success Playbook is where I share the deeper process.
I created it for people who want to build, grow, and eventually explore monetizing a faceless social media presence without trying to figure out every step alone.

Results aren’t guaranteed. Social media growth, reach, monetization eligibility, and income vary based on factors including your content, niche, audience, consistency, platform policies, and monetization strategy.
